CSSC Guangxi Shipbuilding won orders for 6+2 8,500 dwt general cargo carriers
On October 19, 2023, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Guangxi Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading (Shanghai) signed a batch general cargo carrier construction contract with the Italian company MANISA CHARTERING SRL, and also signed a design contract with Norwegian Marine Design and Consulting AS.

There are 8 ships in this batch of orders, including 4 confirmed ships,
2 optional ships, and 2 intended ships. This type of ship has an overall
length of 119.9 meters, a molded width of 17 meters, a molded depth of 9.3
meters, a design draft of 6.5 meters, a maximum draft of 7 meters, a design
speed of 13.2 knots, a maximum deadweight of 8,500 dwt, and is
classified into RINA.
As of now, CSSC Guangxi Shipbuilding’s orders have been scheduled until the end of 2026.
